Laptop repairs

Windows laptops, the ordinary clamshell kind: screens, batteries, keyboards, ports, hinges, and machines that have gone slow. A rare gaming panel or a battery we cannot source in the common band is quoted before we order it.

The battery line is the October 2026 band for a common Windows laptop, part and labor, VAT included. Shops in Israel were mostly landing between about ₪400 and ₪800 for that job, and the number on our board sits in that band. A glued or odd-shaped pack can leave it. We say so before we order, not when you come to collect.

Same-day is for a battery we already have on the shelf, handed in by 16:00 Sunday to Thursday. A screen is almost never a while-you-wait job. The panel has to match the model, so it is usually one to four bench days. Friday is a short day. We do not start a parts order on Friday afternoon, and we never start one on Saturday.

A slow machine

Slow, on this bench, means the causes we can see without wandering through your documents. A disk that is full. Too many programs starting with Windows. A fan packed with dust. Dried paste under the heatsink. A battery that only works on the charger, so the machine feels ill when it is not. We tell you which of those we found. The price for that visit is ₪260–440 when it stays inside that list.

We do not promise data recovery, and we do not dig through personal files while we look. If the drive is failing, we stop and tell you before anyone copies anything. Copying, if the drive still mounts, is your step, to a disk you bring, with you sitting there. We will not take the files away to another service. If the files matter more than the laptop, say that before we open the bottom cover.

Keyboards, ports, and drinks

A keyboard that misses characters, or repeats them, is usually the keyboard assembly on a common Windows laptop, in the ₪390–720 band, one to three bench days. If a drink went into the keys, say so. That is liquid, and liquid is a diagnosis, not a keyboard price we promise. The diagnosis fee is ₪140, credited if you approve a repair we are willing to do. Corrosion under the keyboard can be the end of a sensible repair. We will tell you.

A power socket or a USB-C port that only works at an angle is often the port, ₪280–540, one to four bench days. If the board under the port is damaged, it becomes a quoted board job. We name the wait before we order the part. We do not hold that part because a message arrived. We hold it when we reply and name a time.

A Microsoft account, a firmware password, or any other lock stays yours. You remove it yourself, before the repair or after we hand the laptop back. The bench will not bypass it — not iCloud, not FRP, not IMEI. If a test needs the machine unlocked, you type the passcode yourself at the counter. Do not write it on the ticket.

We are not an authorized service shop for the companies that make these laptops. A repair here can affect a maker’s warranty that is still running. The warranty you get from us is 90 days on the part we fitted, written on the ticket.
